The Poultry Feed Sales Representatives is responsible for developing the poultry feed business in a designated area, making cold calls, selecting the prospects, making sales presentations and enhancing sales.
Responsibilities: - Increases sales and presence for all of MacEwen Agricentre products and services through promotions, participation at trade shows and through face to face meetings with customers. - Provides technical services to poultry farmers, developing and nurturing the business relationship and monitoring flock performance. - Resolves customer complaints regarding sales and service. - Communicates with the Company’s Management Team all relevant information regarding competition, marketing and technical advancements to assist in the growth and development of the Company’s business. - Maintains an electronic report to communicate daily sales calls and actions taken. - Actively participate in business and social events relevant to the Company’s and customers business. E.g. Poultry meetings. - Assists in sourcing solutions to complex technical problems, participating in a collective, team approach, in farm calls when assistance required by any colleague. - Use time effectively by managing a weekly plan, pre-arranging visits to key customers and prospective customers. - Any other duties that can reasonably required, commensurate with the role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required to be Successful: - College diploma in agriculture. - Participation in poultry training to enhance layer or broiler production. - Exceptional influencing and communication skills. - Ability to manage own time effectively. - Willing to participate actively in training provided by suppliers and partners.
Other - This role requires travel to customer sites, trade shows and learning locations, occasionally requiring overnight stay. - Bilingual (English/French) would be an advantage.
