In November 1983, Jim MacEwen began building an organization devoted to providing farmers in Eastern Ontario with top-quality products and services, while focusing on helping its customers achieve their financial and business goals. Over the years, MacEwen Agricentre has evolved into one of the industry's key competitors by re-investing much of its resources into research and development.
Today, Jim MacEwen is proud that his company has a solid reputation for unmatched feed, crop inputs, grain marketing services in Eastern Ontario. And with capital investments consistently improving MacEwen Agricentre's facilities, it shows that the company is still growing and striving to be the best.
When MacEwen Agricentre first opened its doors and introduced its feed, crop inputs, and grain elevator services, it was a team of just three employees. After several years of controlled growth, MacEwen Agricentre now employs over 65 employees.
"Since 1983, the industry has continued to change and evolve, just like MacEwen Agricentre," says Jim MacEwen. "Today, our farmers are among the most efficient and competitive in the world. They demand quality products and services at competitive prices. This is an industry that is helping to feed the world."
