The Sales Representative is responsible for the sales of crop inputs and services: which include fertilizer, seed, crop protection, custom application and other crop technology.
Responsibilities: • Maintain and increase sales and presence for all of MacEwen Agricentre products and services to an assigned territory with an effective sales strategy.
• Implementation of a crop inputs system for individual grower needs. This will include: taking soil samples, writing fertilizer prescriptions, recommending crop protection products, and field visits with individual growers to review product performance.
• Own and complete business projects as assigned by sales manager including sales planning and reporting.
• Actively participant in continuous learning opportunities for sales and crop production.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required to be Successful: • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. • Strong problem solving and decision making skills • Exceptional planning and organizational skills for both time and customer ordinated tasks. • Ability to seek out opportunities and prospects while building relationships with an existing customer base.
Other • 3-5 years experience in Agriculture • Requires occasional travel to other company or learning locations, occasionally requiring overnight stay. • Potential to qualify for the CCA certification • Bilingual (English/French) would be an advantage.
