ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (Cobden)
12-month Mat Leave
Based at the Company Office in Cobden and reporting to the General Manager, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for greeting customers and responding to questions and enquiries, whether in person or on the telephone. The role also requires accounting and administrative support.

Responsibilities:
Administrative & Customer Service
• Receive customers, visitors and callers to the office.
• Deal with orders and enquiries from customers.
• Order stationary and supplies for the office.
• Receive and sort deliveries entering them in to Prosoft software.
• Other administrative duties including filing, photocopying, printing etc., and related duties as assigned.
• Order bag and bulk feed from Maxville weekly
• Order feed and supplies from various suppliers maintaining minimum inventory levels.
Accounting
• Create blend tickets as customers order fertilizer
• Process delivery tickets, blend tickets and spray tickets for customer invoicing.
• Post feed and crop input invoices to customer accounts
• Prepare daily cash report and post transactions in Prosoft software
• Monthly inventory cycle count of different departments
• Post payments/ prepayments onto customers accounts
• Handle any billing questions customers have concerns over
• Assist in the preparation and mailing of customer monthly statements
• Receive all fertilizer and seed into inventory using Agvance software.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required to be successful:
Education
• High school diploma is required.
• College diploma in business or accounting is desirable.
• A minimum of 2 years of general accounting experience would be considered an asset.
Other
• Exceptional communication and administrative skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both official languages is essential.
• A high degree of proficiency with the Microsoft office software.
• Organised, with proven time management skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Accurate and able to demonstrate attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work additional hours when required.
• Willingness to participate in training when required.
• Agricultural background would be an asset.
